Who we work with: |
When we provide services: |
Our main focus is on children ages birth through 13 years of age. The majority of our clients have received a diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder, however some funding sources offer coverage for individuals exhibiting qualifying behaviors and alternative diagnoses. Griffin Behavioral Solutions believes it is important to provide attention and training to caregivers, in addition to the client. Caregivers can include extended family members, teachers, and other therapists in addition to those living with the client. Caregivers are the lifetime teachers to the client and providing skills to the caregiver that will provide the client with a lifetime of learning opportunities.
What we do:All services provided by Griffin Behavioral Solutions are based on the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis. All intervention goals target developmentally appropriate behaviors/skills that will impact the client's daily independence. A Comprehensive Treatment Model focuses on multiple aspects of a client's skill deficits and behavioral excesses. On occasion a Focused Treatment Plan will be developed to address a single area of concern. Methodology behind the implementation of program treatment goals includes Errorless Learning, Functional Communication Training, Verbal Behavior, Antecedent Based Behavior Modification, Chaining/Shaping Procedures, and the use of reinforcement implemented utilizing Discrete Trial Training. Direct implementation of programs are provided by qualified individuals specifically trained on the implementation of each client's individualized plan. All caregivers are required to commit to regularly scheduled hours of caregiver training focused on ABA theory and implementation utilizing Behavior Skill Training methodology.

After an initial assessment of need, the clinical director will provide a recommendation of hours. Recommendations are tailored to fit the individual needs of each client. Hour recommendations typically range from nine to 30 hours of direct intervention per week. Direct intervention services are provided between 8am and 6pm Monday through Friday. Individual session schedules are provided across three to five days a week (eg. MWF 9am-noon or M-F 3pm-6pm).
Where sessions happen:Our services are provided within the natural environment of the client’s home and community. As dictated by the client's personalized goals and funding source authorization; sometimes it is appropriate for intervention session to be conducted in the client's school or child care environment.
Due to the in-home and in-school nature of our services, we currently do not have therapists available in the St. Cloud, South Kissimmee/Poinciana, Oviedo/Chuluota and Waterford Lakes/Lake Nona areas How we are funded:Our services are funded through both private and government funded insurance agencies, as well as through private pay. See the lists provided below or call to confirm in-network coverage.
