Crystal’s love for teaching began when she was a freshman in high school and was studying to receive her Black Belt in Tang Soo Do. As a prerequisite, she was required to complete 120 hours teaching the adaptive levels class which was designed to accommodate special needs individuals. It was during her involvement in this class that she discovered her love for teaching. Since then, she has taught various subjects ranging from Martial Arts and horseback riding to extracurricular science classes and after-school programs. She was introduced to the world of ABA in 2006 and switched her educational goals from a Business degree with a focus in Industrial/Organizational Psychology to Clinical Psychology with a goal of becoming a BCBA.
She earned her M.A. in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis in Autism Spectrum Disorder and Assessments from California State University, Northridge and completed her post-graduate studies in Applied Behavior Analysis from National University in La Jolla, CA prior to becoming a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (#1-12-12609) in 2012. |
